Workshop 1 from Self-Advocacy: “Don’t Forget About Me!” Series

Transition-aged deafblind students will explore who they are as an individual and their accessibility needs as an individual with a disability. At the end of this workshop, students will be able to actively participate in educational and transition planning meetings, such as an IEP. NJ/DE Virtual Mini-Transition Institute
The Helen Keller National Center (HKNC) in collaboration with the Delaware Program for Children with Deafblindness (DPCDB) and the New Jersey Center on Deafblindness (NJCDB) are hosting a Virtual Transition Institute for the 2022-2023 school year. A variety of online workshops for students and families will be offered, centering around self-advocacy for deafblind transition-aged youth (ages 14-21).
